Whether it is a full-blown studio or home writing room, the quality of the audio wiring is paramount and we have many cost saving methods to cater for all our clients. We have a wealth of staff available from wiremen to maintenance engineers, who are used to dealing with large format consoles as well as the latest versions of Pro Tools and recording techniques.

When we undertake a new project we would first arrange a visit by Finn Eiles, a hugely experienced recording engineer, to discuss the type of equipment being used and the preferred working methods of the client in order to design a wiring plan to suit. As an engineer working on the frontline of music production, Finn is well placed to advise on all areas of studio equipment; the best ways to integrate entire systems using the correct patch-bays and wall panels to ensure that the studio is easy to navigate, and that it is as future proof as possible. Finn will liaise closely with the studio construction team to ensure adequate space is left for cable trays, ducts and ‘pull throughs’ to make sure that any additional cabling can be added at a later date.

Our engineers are happy to undertake all types of patch-bay installation. Typically we use the iso-patch system, which gives a cost effective, flexible solution for those wishing to have a bantam patch-bay. We can also make up custom tie-line panels to incorporate CAT 5 / USB / DVI as well as the more standard Jack and XLR connections. We are also experienced in all manner of MIDI installations for those with hardware synths, and are well versed with the CV conversion and the expert sleeper light-pipe CV system. We are also used to setting up rooms for 5.1 systems, and work alongside acoustician Nick Whitaker to ensure the recording studio design allows for this application.

We can also handle any Ethernet and network installations, camera systems, telephone/entry systems and intruder alarms. All our contractors are NSI Nacoss Gold certified and can undertake monitored as well as Redcare systems.

The Miloco Builds team has a wealth of experience in configuring mains supplies, installing balanced mains transformer systems, as well as investigating and rectifying any grounding problems. If you are having problems with an existing setup we can send down an engineer to assess the problem and advise on the best ways to improve the situation.

It is not always necessary to have engineers on site for the whole installation period. Often, we will make all relevant preparations in our workshops before carrying out the audio installations and testing onsite to ensure the minimum of disruption.
