Following on from last year’s renovation of the Dock Street Studios live room, studio owner Sholto Ratcliffe once again enlisted the expertise of the Miloco Builds team to design and build a brand new control room to expand his studio complex.
Drawing on an ecclesiastical theme, Sholto was looking for something a bit different in the new Dock Street control room. For this Miloco Builds created custom-made church window arches lit by a Hue lighting system, complimented by a custom-made workstation to house some incredible equipment supplied by Miloco Gear. The new equipment list features Focal SM9 monitors, API and Heritage Audio mic pres and a beautiful vintage Ludwig Hollywood drum kit.
“The Miloco Builds Team have, over the course of two builds, turned a dingy basement complex into the best acoustic environment I’ve had the good fortune to work in.” Says Sholto. “Besides being a pleasure to deal with, they were always willing to go above and beyond what would be traditionally expected of a studio builder in order to make both the Control room and the Live room truly bespoke to our needs.”
