Baltic Place

Oscar and Orlando approached us in early 2011 to get involved in building Baltic Place after having worked in Miloco’s The Pool studio.  As they were both in separate bands they needed a space where they could rehearse, mix and record simultaneously and without disturbing each other. Once we had found a suitable host building, Pete and the team designed a layout to deliver this. With isolation being the key factor Nick Whitaker specified the treatment and the guys are delighted with the results.

They now have a large rehearsal space with a designated programming area and DJ booth that also serves as an adjacent large control room for a more traditional recording set up, as well as a mix room. The control room has its own vocal booth so can operate independently and there is an additional soundproof editing room on the same floor which doubles up as an amp booth.

Needless to say all the areas are cleverly tie lined together with comprehensive wiring designed and installed by Sound Engineer Finn Eiles whose studio experience is invaluable with this type of install.
